Detour | George C. Platt Memorial Bridge Construction

Beginning Sunday, June 3, 2012

Due to PennDOT construction on the George C. Platt Memorial Bridge, Route 68 Local service will be detoured via I-95. Service frequency will remain the same during the detour period and all existing trips to/from the Tastykake Bakery will not be affected.

Service will continue to operate along Moyamensing Ave., Pattison Ave., and Broad St. before getting on I-95.

Routing through Penrose Industrial Park will change as noted below.

To Broad St./Oregon Ave.

Service will operate from Island Ave via Enterprise Ave. before getting on I-95.

Routing through the Penrose Industrial Park will change as noted below.

Due to traffic safety concerns the routing at Penrose Industrial Park will change as follows:

The 3 current bus stops on Escort & Executive Aves. will ONLY serve trips going towards UPS.

Trips towards Broad & Oregon will stop along Island & Enterprise Aves. at Island & Escort Aves., and Enterprise & Executive Aves.

The Platt Bridge reconstruction work is expected to last for approximately 2 years. Route 68 Local service will remain on detour during this time; Express service will not be impacted by the detour.
