August 2018 Schedule Change for Lansdale/Doylestown Trains

Effective Sunday, August 5, 2018

Effective with the Sunday, August 5, 2018 schedule change, regularly scheduled Midday Weekday Train service between Doylestown and Lansdale Stations will resume.

Major changes to service are listed below; however, customers should refer to the timetable with the August 5, 2018 effective date for complete service information.

INBOUND (toward Center City) SERVICE:

Midday Weekday Train service replaces Shuttle Bus service for Trains #521, #525, #529, #533, #537, and #541 between Doylestown and Lansdale Stations. Trains, departing between 8:45 a.m. and 1:52 p.m., will depart LATER than previously scheduled Buses.

Midday Weekday Trains #523, 527, 531, 535, and #539 have been added to the Weekday schedule and will operate with service from Link Belt Station to Center City, with continuing service to Paoli/Thorndale Line Stations (with the exception of Train #535, which originates at Lansdale Station)

Train #519 (departing Lansdale at 8:48 a.m.) will depart Lansdale, Pennbrook, North Wales, and Gwynedd Valley Stations 5 minutes LATER than previously scheduled.

OUTBOUND (toward Doylestown) SERVICE:

Midday Weekday Train service replaces Shuttle Bus service for Trains #7534 #540, #544, #548, #552, and #556 between Lansdale and Doylestown Stations. Trains, departing between 7:57 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., will arrive EARLIER than previously scheduled Shuttle Buses

Trains #3542, #546, #550, #554, and #558 will return to the schedule, with service from Center City to Link Belt Station (with the exception of Train #550, which terminates at Lansdale).

Timetables will also be posted at stations prior to the August 5th schedule change.

Weekday Opposite Side Boarding: Pennbrook, North Wales, and Gwynedd Valley Stations

Monday - Friday, 9:05 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.

Due to track work, ALL trains will board from the OUTBOUND (toward Doylestown) platform at the following stations:

Pennbrook

North Wales

Gwynedd Valley

Train #545 (departing Pennbrook at 2:44 p.m.) will be the first train to resume normal boarding locations.

Temporary Relocation of SEPTA Permit Spaces | Chalfont Station

Until Further Notice

Chalfont Borough has begun construction in the SEPTA Permit Parking Lot next to the former fire house.

During construction, SEPTA Permit Spaces will be temporarily relocated to a parking lot directly behind Borough Hall (40 N. Main St., Chalfont, PA 18914).

Signage will direct customers to dedicated SEPTA permit parking spaces.

Construction, which includes the partial demolition of the old fire house building and a new parking area, is scheduled to last approximately 6 months.

Customers will be notified of any additional changes to parking. Thank you for your cooperation during this important borough project.

Opposite Side Boarding at Melrose & Elkins Park Stations

Mondays through Thursdays, 9:30 p.m. - End of Service

Due to an ongoing track improvement project, ALL trains will board from the OUTBOUND (toward Doylestown) platforms at Melrose Park and Elkins Park Stations during the times noted above.
