Parkside Bus Loop

The Parkside Bus Loop, the terminus point for Bus Route 40, 43, 52 & 64, previously located at 49th & Parkside Avenue, was reconstructed and relocated to a new location at 1551 North 50th Street.

The relocated bus loop provides convenient access to the Park West Town Center, at the rear entrance, near Lowe's Home Improvement Store.

Construction was performed by crews of the SEPTA Engineering, Maintenance & Construction Division and the third-party contractor JPC Group Inc.

Open-air bus shelter, created from recyclable materials & glass block wind screens

Improved energy-efficient lighting controlled by photocell

Trash & recycling cans

A modern storm water management system that includes grass swales and a bio-retention basin

Bus Operator facility building

New site landscaping with drought-resistant plantings
