How much does the Project cost, and what is the funding source?
The total cost of the Wayne Junction Intermodal Facility project is $18 million and is funded through a combination of a Federal Transit Administration Bus and Bus Facilities Livability Grant and Capital Financing. Capital financing for this project will be provided through SEPTA's Debt Service Project.

Will the old Station Building or Germantown Headhouse be demolished?
No. The station and headhouse buildings will undergo extensive renovations to both the interior and exterior of the buildings.

Will the new platform be high level or low level?
The new platform will be high level.

Will there be elevators when the project is complete?
Yes. Two new elevators will be installed servicing both the inbound and outbound platforms.

Is there any additional parking planned for the station?
Presently only street parking is avaiable, no additional parking will be provided.

When will the Project be completed?
The project is scheduled for completion the summer of 2014.

Will the station be ADA compliant after completion?
Yes.

Will the station remain open during construction?
Yes, the station will remain open during the different phases of construction. Signage will direct passengers during these phases.

Will the station building be closed at any time during construction?
Yes. A temporary ticket office will be in use while the renovations are going on in the station building.

Will there be improvements to the passenger tunnels and stairwells?
Yes, the passenger tunnels and stairwells will undergo major renovations providing new lighting and security cameras throughout.
