Station amenity improvements include new wall, floor, and ceiling finishes, platform tactile warning strips, audio-visual public address system, and energy efficient lighting. New elevators will be installed to make the stations ADA compliant. Materials installed at these stations will be easy to maintain, have a long life expectancy, and have vandal resistant qualities. Originally constructed between 1928 and 1932 these stations are showing signs of disrepair and deterioration due to age and use. The improvements will convert the stations into modern, attractive, well-illuminated, functional and secure transit facilities.
