SEPTA has received Federal Stimulus Funds from the Federal Government and is using these funds in part to improve passenger safety and station amenities at several Regional Rail Stations. One of the stations designated for improvements is Langhorne Station on the West Trenton Line (R3) in Bucks County

Removal of the existing Station Building and construction of a new Station building in approximately the same location
The Station Building will contain a Waiting Room, Sales Office, and Restroom, and it will be air-conditioned
Demolition of the existing asphalt train platform located immediately in front of the new Station Building and construction of a new concrete platform in its place

Construction is expected to begin the end of March 2010 and be completed the end of July 2010.
No evening work is expected. Crews will be on-site from 6:30 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.
Most of the construction activity will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The construction noise will only be that associated with backhoes, dump trucks, delivery trucks, and similar vehicles. Since the construction is of primarily prefabricated construction, SEPTA will not utilize pile drivers or similar equipment.
Langhorne Station will remain open during construction. A temporary station building trailer, containing a waiting room, sales office, and restroom will be installed.
