On Sunday September 12, 2010 SEPTA is geared up to take you and your family to the starting line of the fourth annual Bike Philly event at the Art Museum. Thousands of cyclists are expected to line up to enjoy a relaxing car-free 10 or 20 mile trip or a challenging 35 mile trip on shared roads. Enjoy the historic beauty of Philadelphia on two wheels and support the Bicycle Coalition's efforts to make the city more livable and sustainable.
SEPTA is the best way to get to the Bike Philly tour promoting healthy lifestyles and a better environment through alternate transportation.
To help get you and your bike to the ride without driving, the following SEPTA Regional Rail trains will operate with an extra car just for bikes.
Train #3409 departing West Trenton at 5:58 a.m.
Train #703 departing Chestnut Hill East at 6:11 a.m.
Train #522 departing Malvern at 6:30 a.m.

Participants can easily bike to the Art Museum from 30th Street Station.
Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia and SEPTA will have volunteers onboard these three trains to help you load and unload. We suggest you buy your Weekend Round-Trip ticket or Independence Pass (for all day access to SEPTA) ahead of time Click here for details.
In addition, you can take your bike on the Broad Street Line or the Market Frankford Line and all buses are equipped with a bike rack to carry two bikes.
