From Start To Finish - SEPTA Is Your Ticket To The Philly Cycling Classic
The city's premier cycling event returns to the streets of Manayunk Sunday, June 2, 2013 for the new Philly Cycling Classic. From the starting line to the finish line, SEPTA can get you TO, FROM and AROUND the 12-mile race course.
The Race
The race follows a similar course as in previous years, with the starting line and finish line at the famous "Manayunk Wall," located near the corner of Lyceum Avenue and Pechin Street. Bicyclists will travel a 12-mile course winding through the Manayunk and East Falls neighborhoods and along Kelly Drive, through Fairmount Park.

The race is scheduled to begin with the Women's Pro Race at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Men's Pro Race at 12:00 p.m.

Service To Center City
Service will operate every 30 minutes from the Norristown Transportation Center to Manayunk and continuing to Center City (30th Street Station) between 6:40 a.m. and 6:40 p.m.

Special Shuttle Bus Between and Elm Street and the Norristown Transportation Center On Race Day
A special SEPTA shuttle bus will operate every 30 minutes between Norristown Transportation Center and Elm Street during the Philly Cycling Classic.

Fares will vary based on the origin and destination of travel. Wissahickon and Manayunk are Zone 2 stations while East Falls is a Zone 1 station.
SEPTA encourages its customers to take advantage of the Single and Family One Day Independence Pass. This fare provides unlimited travel on all SEPTA services, including Regional Rail to the race, for one low price.

For travel between Manayunk, Wissahickon or East Falls and any other Norristown Line station you may purchase an Intermediate Branch ticket either in advance, or on-board the train. Intermediate Branch tickets are not valid for travel to/from Center City Philadelphia zone stations.
If you are transferring from another Regional Rail line to the Norristown Line at any of the Center City Philadelphia stations, make sure you purchase a 'via Center City' fare either in advance, or on-board at the start of your trip.
Tickets are always available for purchase in advance online at shop.SEPTA.org. Please remember to allow adequate order processing time to receive your tickets by mail.
Parking at SEPTA Regional Rail stations is free on weekends, with the exception of the Norristown Transportation Center Garage. Use the clickable rail map to determine the parking capacity at your nearest station.
Ticket offices will be open between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Norristown Transportation Center Regional Rail Station, Conshohocken Station, Manayunk Station, East Falls Station in addition to Center City Stations.
Ticket office hours at 30th Street, Suburban and Market East Station are 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Please plan ahead and avoid the lines by purchasing your Independence Pass or round-trip ticket in advance prior to your trip either from a ticket agent or by mail at shop.SEPTA.org.
Race organizers recommend you view the race from the start/finish line, Main Street at Cotton Street, Midvale Avenue near Kelly Drive in East Falls and along Kelly Drive in the River Parking Lot near the permanent bleachers.
