Message for Customers Regarding the QuietRide Program During the Flower Show

Winter is Almost Over...The Philadelphia Flower Show is Here

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of our Customers for bearing with us during the recent snap of brutally cold winter weather. Although southeastern PA transit riders managed (so far) to miss dealing with major snow events, we know everything on the SEPTA system wasn't perfect. The cold impacted vehicles, infrastructure, and facilities so we greatly appreciate your patience when incidents occurred that may have delayed your trip or impacted service.

We're keeping a close eye on the weather and hoping the much more moderate temperatures in next week's forecast are harbingers that the worst of our winter might just be over.

Certainly a more accurate prediction that spring is around the corner is the opening of the Philadelphia Flower Show (February 28-March 8). As the oldest and largest indoor event in the country, the Flower Show draws record crowds to the Convention Center and as our Regional Rail customers know all too well - record crowds on our trains.

We've already announced that the QuietRide Car is temporarily suspended during the Flower Show. We've tried in the past to keep this travel perk going during the Show week, but there are just too many people unfamiliar with our service - excited by the prospect of going to the show or wanting to discuss every detail of what they've seen - to try and manage their enthusiasm. Our Crews will, of course, work to maintain a general sense of decorum but we ask that you please be patient with any new riders who may be joining your regular trip.

Please hang in there during the Flower Show - only 5 weekday travel days until things return to normal...
