Stop Hunger at Your Station With Philabundance

October 19th through October 30, 2015

We're teaming up with Philabundance for the STOP HUNGER AT YOUR STATION campaign. Your generous contribution of food items, collected at designated SEPTA stations, will help thousands of people - young and old - through Philabundance supported programs and agencies.

Last year, your generosity made a difference fighting hunger in the region.

Please lend your support by bringing these most needed food resources to one of the stations listed below:

  • Canned or Shelf Stabilized Tuna
  • Canned Pasta
  • Canned Beef Stew, Ravioli
  • Creamy Peanut Butter (plastic containers only, please)
  • Jelly (plastic containers only, please)
  • Canned Green Beans
  • Canned Corn
  • Canned Fruit

Collection barrels will be available at the below SEPTA locations. At outlying Regional Rail Stations, the collection barrels will be located in the ticket office. CCT customers may give food contributions to their driver.

The SEPTA specially wrapped Philabundance Bus will be at the following SEPTA Regional Rail Stations and Transportation Centers:

Wednesday, October 21: Olney Transportation Center, 3-6 p.m.

Thursday, October 22: Warminster Regional Rail Station, 6:30-9 a.m., and King
of Prussia Transportation Center, 3-6 p.m.

Friday, October 23: Jenkintown Regional Rail Station, 6:30-9 a.m., and
Lansdale Regional Rail Station, 3-6 p.m.

Monday, October 26: Fern Rock Transportation Center, 6:30-9 a.m., and Fort
Washington Regional Rail Station, 3-6 p.m.

Tuesday, October 27: FOX Philadelphia Studios, 4th and Market Streets, 6-10
a.m., and Swarthmore Regional Rail Station, 3-6 p.m.

Wednesday, October 28: Frankford Transportation Center, 6:30-9 a.m., and
Bryn Mawr Regional Rail Station, 3-6 p.m.

Thursday, October 29: Norristown Transportation Center, 6:30-9 a.m. and 3-6

Friday, October 30: 69th Street Transportation Center South Terminal, 6:30-9
a.m., and Bethlehem Bus Loop/Chestnut Hill East Station, 3-6 p.m.

Customers can use Google Transit to find the best ways to get to the above locations

The Bus will operate during regular service for customers on the Route 17 Saturday, October 24 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and on the Route 23 Sunday, October 25 from 5:29 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.


In 2014, SEPTA customers and employees contributed:

  • Nearly 18 tons - more than 12,000 pounds - of food
  • Collected more than $11,000 in donations

Since 2009, SEPTA customers and employees have donated more than 54 tons (100,000 pounds) of food and $40,000 - that's nearly 200,000 meals for families across the greater Philadelphia region.
