1. Why Should I Sign My Pass? Trans/Trail Passes may only be used by one person, so protect your investment and sign the back before riding. We can’t always guarantee it, but having your name on the back may help if your pass is ever lost or stolen. 2. What Does the Front Sticker Abbreviation Mean? The Male and Female stickers help our Operators and Conductors validate that you are the rightful owner of the pass. 3. Why Did The Salesperson Ask Who the Pass Was For? We want to be certain that you get the correct and valid sticker. If you’re buying the pass for someone else they need to know which sticker to use. Please remember to check the sticker before leaving the sale window. 4. Why Did I See a Pass Confiscated? It could have been expired or the sticker and signature did not match the person using the pass. We know how much you value your Trans or Trail Pass. Keep it safe and please remember – no sharing.

SEPTA fare instruments may be purchased at over 400 Retail Sales Locations in the region and over 200 area businesses offer incentives to employees who use public transportation through the Commuters Choice program. Monthly passes, One Day Convenience Passes, specialty and event passes, and tokens are also available for purchase online at Shop.SEPTA.org.
