Papal Visit Service | 101/102 TROLLEY, NHSL

Trolley Routes 101/102 & Norristown High Speed Line

To help alleviate congestion and enhance safe travel on Trolley Routes 101/102 and Norristown High Speed Line, a limited number of Special 3 Day Transit Passes and Special 3 Day Transit Reduced Fare Passes will be sold for travel from the 6 stations listed below during the Papal Visit weekend. ALL OTHER STATIONS ON THESE LINES WILL BE CLOSED.

For return westbound service, take the Market Frankford Line back to 69th Street for connections to Routes 101, 102, or Norristown High Speed Line station or stop open for service. NO service will operate to 69th Street Transportation on the Route 101/102 Trolleys or the Norristown High Speed Line during the PM travel period.

Travel Tip: ALL Customers going to Center City on these Routes will make a direct connection with the Market Frankford Line



FARES & FARE PAYMENT

The Special 3 Day Transit Pass will be the ONLY fare accepted on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2015 for travel on Route 101/102 Trolleys, or the Norristown High Speed Line.

Special 3 Day Transit Pass: $10.00
Special 3 Day Transit Reduced Fare Pass: $5.00

Travel Tip: Customers purchasing a Special 3 Day Transit Reduced Fare Pass will be required to present a photo ID and a valid Medicare Card or PA Disability Transit ID to be eligible to ride (Senior citizens are only required to present one photo ID)


This Special, non-refundable, Transit Pass must be pre-purchased for travel from one of the above Stations, which will be stamped on the back of the Pass. Each Special 3 Day Transit Pass will be valid for use by only one person.

Up to 2 Children, ages 4 and younger, riding with an adult holding a 3 Day Transit Pass for Route 101/102 Trolley or Norristown High Speed Line ride for FREE

ALL other Children, regardless of age, traveling with that adult, must have a Special 3 Day Transit Pass

NO other SEPTA fares - Weekly/Monthly Passes, Independence/One Day Convenience Passes, or CASH will be accepted on Route 101/102 Trolleys or the Norristown High Speed Line

Travel Tip: On Monday, September 28, the Special 3 Day Transit Pass will be valid for use on ALL Bus, Trolley, and High Speed Line services. It will not be valid for travel on Regional Rail at any time.

A complete list of prohibited items is available here

The six (6) 101/102 Trolley and Norristown High Speed Line Stations shown on the list are the ONLY locations offering service. All other Stations on these lines will be CLOSED

Please remember to stay out of active track area as there will still be trolleys and trains in operation

Fare collection for Transit will occur at the start of your trip (AM travel to Center City)

Trolley Route 101/102 and Norristown High Speed Line - Present your Special 3 Day Transit Pass for inspection and validation by SEPTA Personnel

Trolley Route 101/102 and Norristown High Speed Line - Present your Special 3 Day Transit Reduced Fare Pass, along with a photo ID and a valid Medicare Card or PA Disability Transit ID, for inspection and validation by SEPTA Personnel
