Transfers are $0.75. A transfer ticket must be purchased when you board the first vehicle of your trip from either the Operator (for buses and trolleys) or the Cashier (for the Market-Frankford, Broad Street, and Subway-Surface Lines).
A re-transfer can be purchased for an additional $0.75. Only two transfers are permitted per each one-way trip.
Transfers and re-transfers are not valid for trips near the passenger’s point of origin.
As an alternative, customers using more than one mode of service to complete a single trip may consider:
Tokens: $1.45 each - purchase in 2 ($2.90), 5 ($7.00), or 10 ($14.50) pack
One Day Convenience Pass: 8 Trips on one day, $6.00
Weekly TransPass: Unlimited rides for a calendar week, $20.75
Monthly TransPass: Unlimited rides for a calendar month, $78.00
SEPTA has three "FREE INTERCHANGE" points where riders can switch routes without purchasing a transfer:
- 15th Street/ City Hall Stations for transfers between the Market-Frankford, Broad Street, and Subway-Surface Lines
- 13th Street/Juniper Street Stations for transfers between the Market-Frankford and Subway-Surface Lines
- 30th Street Station for transfers between Market-Frankford and Subway-Surface Lines
