Summer 2018 Grade Crossing Renewal Project Near North Wales Station
Construction Begins Monday, June 25, 2018

SEPTA forces will simultaneously reconstruct the existing grade crossings in the area of 2nd & 3rd Sts. near North Wales Station along the Lansdale/Doylestown Regional Rail Line starting Monday, June 25, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.

The grade crossing renewal project will not impact service on the Lansdale/Doylestown Line; however, traffic detours will be in effect. Detour information, dates, and times are noted below.

Midday Weekday Bus Substitution & Opposite Side Boarding
Until August 2018

Due to a midday rail and tie replacement project, buses will replace 6 Inbound and 6 Outbound midday trains at Lansdale, 9th Street, Fortuna, Colmar, Link Belt, Chalfont, New Britain, Delaware Valley University, and Doylestown stations.

Customers should make the bus/train connection at Lansdale Station for continued service.

Midday weekday bus substitution information is noted below:

INBOUND (toward Center City) Train/Bus Service:

Buses traveling toward Center City will depart EARLIER than previously scheduled trains

Buses will replace trains #521, #525, #529, #533, #537, and #541

Customers should make the bus to train connection at Lansdale Station for continued service toward Center City

OUTBOUND (toward Doylestown) Train/Bus Service:

Trains will depart Center City stations at the current times

Buses will replace trains #7534, #540, #544, #548, #552, and #556 at Lansdale Station

Customers will have 5 minutes to make the train to bus connection for continued service toward Doylestown Station

Weekday Opposite Side Boarding: Pennbrook, North Wales, and Gwynedd Valley Stations
Monday - Friday, 9:05 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.

Due to track work, ALL trains will board from the OUTBOUND (toward Doylestown) platform at the following stations:

Pennbrook

North Wales

Gwynedd Valley

Train #545 (departing Pennbrook at 2:44 p.m.) will be the first train to resume normal boarding locations.

Temple University Station Elevator Improvement Project
June 2018

SEPTA will replace equipment and improve elevator operational features for the Inbound and Outbound elevators. The work, taking place between May and June 2018, will take only one elevator out at a time.

Phase II - The INBOUND (towards Center City) Elevator is temporarily out of service. The OUTBOUND elevator is still in service.

Customers should visit the Temple University Elevator Improvement project page for alternate accessibility information or look for signage posted at the station.

Temporary Relocation of SEPTA Permit Spaces | Chalfont Station
Until Further Notice

Chalfont Borough has begun construction in the SEPTA Permit Parking Lot next to the former fire house.

During construction, SEPTA Permit Spaces will be temporarily relocated to a parking lot directly behind Borough Hall (40 N. Main St., Chalfont, PA 18914).

Signage will direct customers to dedicated SEPTA permit parking spaces.

Construction, which includes the partial demolition of the old fire house building and a new parking area, is scheduled to last approximately 6 months.

Customers will be notified of any additional changes to parking. Thank you for your cooperation during this important borough project.

Opposite Side Boarding at Melrose & Elkins Park Stations
Mondays through Thursdays, 9:30 p.m. - End of Service

Due to an ongoing track improvement project, ALL trains will board from the OUTBOUND (toward Doylestown) platforms at Melrose Park and Elkins Park Stations during the times noted above.
