SEPTA Rolls Out Fall Schedule

Customers To See Increased Service Throughout System

September 04, 2009

PHILADELPHIA, PA - SEPTA is gearing up to restore full regular service throughout the system as part of its fall schedule.

The changes impact service in the City of Philadelphia and the suburbs. Starting next week, riders can expect to see increased service on a number of Bus and Trolley routes. There is also a new 6:25 p.m. trip on the Norristown High Speedline from Bryn Mawr to the 69th Street Terminal.

Most schedule changes mark a return to regular full service for routes that were altered during the summer, as students went on recess and customers enjoyed vacations from work. Customers will notice most of the changes on Tuesday, Sept. 8th. Most SEPTA service will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday, Sept. 7th for Labor Day.

Some construction-related service changes are also planned. With the overhaul of the Market-Frankford El complete, the 63rd Street Station will return to "A" train service, and the Millbourne Station will once again be a "B" stop. This restores the service provided to both stations before the re-construction project began. Also, shuttle busing starts on portions of the Route 102 Sharon Hill Trolley on Sept. 8th as SEPTA begins an overhaul of the line.

All of the new schedules are available for viewing and download on SEPTA's Web site at www.septa.org/schedules. Copies of the updated schedules will also be available at SEPTA stations throughout the transit system.
