Rails Leading Path To World Series

It's mid-October, and the Phillies are in the midst of another exciting - and at times, gut wrenching - playoff run.

SEPTA is doing what it can to take the edge for fans off by adding extra service for all home playoff games. The Phils return to the friendly confines of Citizens Bank Park on Sunday, October 18, for Game 3 of the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers - and SEPTA's Sports Express service is ready to step up to the plate and get fans to the game. This extra service begins at 6:38 p.m. - allowing fans plenty of time to get in their seats for the first pitch at 8:07 p.m.

Monday's Game 4 also starts at 8:07 p.m., but the Express service that night kicks in at 6:18 p.m. to provide service to the Bruce Springsteen concert at the Wachovia Center. The same scenario would play out on Wednesday, October 21, for Game 5, if necessary. In addition to the 8:07 p.m. Dodgers vs. Phillies game, AC/DC is set to rock the Wachovia Center.

Fans taking the Broad Street Line to the games will get a dose of "Phillies Phever" before they even get to the ballpark. The Pattison Avenue Station at the Sports Complex will be decked out in Phillies red to welcome fans as they get off the train.
