SEPTA produces new video highlighting diverse career tracks at the Authority

Manuel McDonnell Smith
Public Information Manager

Each weekday, SEPTA gets the region moving with more than one million rider trips. Our front-line operator, conductor, and customer service employees greet many faces each day. So it's no wonder that most people think of these jobs as the main career tracks at SEPTA.

But keeping the sixth-largest U.S. Public Transportation System going takes a lot of people. More than 9,000 of them to be exact. Working in specialties from Engineering to Marketing, they keep our system moving 24/7.

In the years to come, the transit industry will face a shortage of new workers to replace retiring employees. That's why we're ramping up our efforts to connect with future talent in new and innovative ways. One of them includes the video attached to this article. Produced to be viewed by students across the region, it highlights the exciting career paths available here at SEPTA.

"At SEPTA, you will find a company that is constantly moving ahead - a company committed to growth, for our business and our employees." said Susan Van Buren, SEPTA's Assistant General Manager for Human Resources. "We recognize the tireless efforts of our employees and compensate them with competitive salaries, substantial benefits package, in-house training and continuing education courses, as well as ample opportunity for career growth."

Watch our video and bookmark our job listings page. From new graduates to seasoned professionals, many exciting opportunities await qualified candidates with us. At SEPTA, there's room for you to move into your future.
