R3 Media-Elwyn Weekend Service Altered by Project

PHILADELPHIA, PA - SEPTA will undergo a railroad maintenance project that will alter weekend service for R3 Media-Elwyn passengers during the next two weekends (Saturday & Sunday, April 19 & 20 and Saturday & Sunday, April 26 & 27).

During the project R3 Media-Elwyn trains will operate on a single track between Secane and 49th Street Stations in order to accommodate crews trimming trees, brush and other vegetation from the railroad signals and overhead wires. Crews will also perform inspections on two railroad bridges.

As a result of the project, inbound R3 Media-Elwyn trains will depart 12 minutes later than on current schedules beginning with the first train to leave Elwyn Station on Saturday and Sunday. Regular inbound service from Elwyn will resume at 6:22 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
