SEPTA Set To Operate Special Subway/Elevated Service For Thanksgiving Day Parade

PHILADELPHIA, PA ‑‑ SEPTA will operate on a holiday schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday (November 22) and a modified weekday schedule on Friday (November 23).
THANKSGIVING DAY SERVICE
All SEPTA services will be on holiday (Sunday) schedules.
- For the Thanksgiving Day Parade, Market‑Frankford and Broad Street Line trains will operate approximately every eight minutes between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. In addition, service on both lines will continue to operate about every ten to twelve minutes for the remainder of the day.
- On Thanksgiving Day, November 22, due to the parade SEPTA bus Routes 2, 7, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 43, 44, 48, 124, 125, and C will be detoured from 6:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the event.
- Due to expected light ridership, SEPTA Suburban Transit Bus Routes will operate a special reduced Sunday schedule. Routes 93, 94, 96, 97, 98, 99, 105, 110, 117 and 119 will operate approximately every two hours. Routes 104, 108, 109, 113, 114, 124, 125, 132 and 305 will operate approximately every hour. Route 130 will operate every 90 minutes. Route 134 will operate as scheduled while Routes 120,123 and 204 will not operate.
The SEPTA Customer Service Department, (215) 580-7800, will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pre-recorded information is also available through the STAR system 24-hours a day.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 23
- SEPTA City and Suburban bus routes will operate on a modified weekday schedule (no school trips). Regional rail and subway/elevated services will operate on regular weekday schedules.
- Early morning service on Route 109 will serve Springfield Mall. Special early morning trips will depart 69th Street Terminal on Route 110 at 5:00 AM to Granite Run Mall, and at 4:05 AM on Route 111 to Granite Run Mall and Chadds Ford.
- Extra late night service will be provided for riders traveling from Plymouth Meeting, Oxford Valley, Granite Run, and King of Prussia malls on Routes 98, 99, 114 and 129.
