SEPTA Broad Street Line Service In Action For Eagles-Seahawks Game At Lincoln Finacial Field On Sunday

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Football fans will find that SEPTA’s Broad Street Line will be ready to roll for the Philadelphia Eagles-Seattle Seahawks game on Sunday, December 2 providing convenient and frequent service directly to Lincoln Financial Field for the 1 p.m. National Football Conference game.

Riders using the Broad Street Line will travel in climate controlled comfort and avoid the expensive parking fees and expected traffic jams in the area of the South Philadelphia Sports and Entertainment complex. Nearly 50,000 fans have already used the Broad Street Line to travel to Eagles home games this season.

Expressly for the football game, SEPTA will operate Broad Street Line “Sports Express” trains scheduled to leave Fern Rock Transportation Center every ten minutes between 10:10 a.m. and 12:20 p.m., en route to Pattison Station and Lincoln Financial Field.

Broad Street Line Sports Express trains leave from Fern Rock Transportation Center and stop only at Olney Transportation Center, Erie, Girard, Spring Garden, Race-Vine, City Hall and Walnut-Locust Stations en route to Pattison Station and the Sports Complex.The express trip from City Hall to the Sports Complex takes only about eight minutes. Local Broad Street Line trains are also in service about every 10 minutes throughout the day.

In addition, Eagle’s fans traveling to the Sports Complex can take advantage of the specially discounted $5.00 parking rate available at one of five city-operated parking lots in Center City and then transfer to the Broad Street Line.SEPTA tokens (a two-pack is $2.90) can be purchased at the parking lots, which are all only a short walk away from the Broad Street Line City Hall Station.

·AutoPark - Center City Lot - 15^th & Arch Streets

·Gateway Garage - 15^th & Vine Streets

·AutoPark - Gallery Mall - 10^th & Filbert Streets

·AutoPark - Jefferson - 10^th & Ludlow Streets

To make the subway trip more convenient, SEPTA will open the lower level platform at Pattison Station before and after the game allowing for easier travel into and out of the station. After the game fans will find trains standing by to provide local and express service back to Fern Rock.
