All Aboard!

Tip: Notify SEPTA crewmembers immediately if anything looks or sounds unusual

Additional Information: Always be aware of your surroundings. Your vigilance can help keep the SEPTA system safe by reporting suspicious behavior or objects. Don't leave it to others - if you are genuinely concerned calmly inform a police officer or uniformed SEPTA employee. Never confront a suspicious person or touch a suspicious object.

Fire Extingusher

Tip: In the event of a fire, pull the pin of the fire extinguisher, point to the base of the fire, squeeze the handle and sweep side to side

Additional Information: Pay attention to the location of all exits and review the location of safety equipment on vehicles. On a Silverliner V, emergency tools are located at the end car door (exit door to the next car or the end door if you're in the first/last car of the train).

Exiting A Trolley

Tip: In an emergency, make sure to provide assistance to ANY SEPTA customer who might need help getting out

Additional Information: Remain calm. Don't panic. Follow the instructions of SEPTA or emergency personnel. Do not exit the train until directed. If you are able to do so, please provide assistance to other customers.

Using a wheel chair to exit a SEPTA bus

Tip: In an emergency, lend a hand and help someone nearby who is using a mobility device or traveling with a service animal

Additional Information: In the event of an emergency, follow instructions and, if told to do so, evacuate in an orderly manner. In the event another customer needs assistance, notify SEPTA or emergency personnel.

Personal vigilance is always important

Tip: Make sure EVERY customer can hear emergency instructions - if someone doesn't respond, provide assistance

Additional Information: Listen for instructions and follow the direction of SEPTA or emergency personnel. Never exit a train until instructed.
