Route Designation Changes | Beginning Sunday, February 19, 2012

Ever looked at a Route C destination sign and wondered if it would take you as far as you wanted to travel or gotten on a bus that only went to 15th & Market when you wanted to go to Broad & Snyder? This is a major route serving a lot of people, but if any of these situations happened to you then you know why we're making it two separate routes: 4 & 16.

Route Designations & Destinations

Route 4 | Fern Rock Transportation Center to Broad & Pattison | pdf
As part of the change, Route 4 will be extended to connect with AT&T Station on the Broad Street Line

Travel Tips & What You Can Expect to See

New signs will be posted at all bus stops identifying Routes 4 & 16. The new routes will offer the same level of service Route C currently provides for these destination segments. Customers traveling on Broad Street between Allegheny Ave and City Hall can use either Route 4 or 16 for their travel convenience. All of the buses are being reprogrammed so the destination signs and audio announcements will clearly identify the routes.

We're also changing the announcements on other bus routes and the Market Frankford & Broad Street Lines so that you'll always know where you can connect with Routes 4 & 16.

Please look for new schedules; you'll see that the only things we're changing are the route numbers.
