Philadelphia's annual Welcome America extravaganza marks the ten day party leading up to the Fourth of July Jam Concert and Fireworks in celebration of America's Birthday. This year's highlights include a free outdoor screening of The Great Gatsby at 9 p.m. on June 25 in Rittenhouse Square, the three-day Taste of Philadelphia event beginning June 29 and Philly Pops Concert on July 3 from 8-11 p.m. at Independence Hall. The ten days of celebration culminate with the Philadelphia Independence Day Parade from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Penn's Landing Fireworks event draws the evening to a close. Visitors to the city can also take advantage of regular late hour Regional Rail service from Suburban Station after the fireworks on Saturday, June 30

In observance of Independence Day, all SEPTA Regional Rail and Transit service will run on a Sunday schedule.
Routes without a regular Sunday schedule, including Route 204, 205, 310 and 316 will not run on Wednesday, July 4. Please refer to the Sunday portion of schedules for trip times.
SEPTA transit services include bus, trolley, Market-Frankford Line, and Broad Street Line service.
