Reconstruct existing station building by deconstructed structure down to the framing and rebuild to match the appearance of other recently renovated railroad station buildings. The new station building face will have brick siding, wood truss roof framing, new energy efficient HVAC and lighting systems, vandal resistant materials, and ADA accessibility enhancements. This project will be completed as a LEED Certified design. The current glass enclosed building, built in 1975, is deteriorated and difficult to maintain.

The project has been completed and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on May 20, 2011. Additionally, in September 2011, Fox Chase Station became the nation's first train station to receive LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and was honored by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
