The Sweet Sounds of Liberty Concert and Fireworks display will take place at the Philadelphia Art Museum on Independence Day night. Afterwards, travel home hassle free with late night trains on SEPTA Regional Rail. In most cases, extra cars will accomodate the increased capacity.
Remember to buy your round trip ticket at the start of your journey at a Regional Rail ticket office or on-board the train. SEPTA promotional weekend round trip tickets are not accepted on Regional Rail trains any weekday except Friday, July 4.
A NOTE ABOUT REGIONAL RAIL FARES The two most common Regional Rail fares are one way and round trip tickets. Traveling towards Center City Philadelphia between 6:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and traveling away from Center City Philadelphia between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. requires a peak-hour ticket. All other travel is considered off-peak. An advanced ticket is a ticket you purchase before getting on the train and carries a cost savings over an on-board ticket, which is a ticket you buy once on the train. |

Delays Expected on SEPTA Surface and Trolley Routes
A SEPTA Travel Advisory has been issued for surface bus routes 1, 3, 5, 14, 20, 25, 39, 43, 50, 54, 60, 66, 73 and 84.
The Girard Avenue Trolley (Route 15) is substituted with buses between Richmond & Cumberland Street and Richmond & Westmoreland Street. Full trolley service will operate between Richmond & Cumberland Street and 63rd Street & Girard Avenue.
With the PennDOT I-95 detour routed along Girard Avenue, Aramingo Avenue and Castor Avenue in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, customers should plan ahead and expect delays of up to 40-50 minutes over the course of the entire affected bus and trolley routes. If possible, leave early or leave late to avoid the crunch times of the morning and afternoon rush hours.
SEPTA apologizes for the inconvenience its customers may encounter during this time.
