2020 Philadelphia Flower Show

SEPTA Discounted Tickets and Event Information

The 2020 Philadelphia Flower Show returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center Saturday, February 29 through Sunday, March 8, 2020. This year's show, "Riviera Holiday," inspired by the world's exotic Mediterranean gardens.

Discounted tickets will be sold at all major Transit Sales Offices and Regional Rail Ticket Offices. Select Regional Rail Ticket Offices and Center City Stations will operate with extended hours during the show (see pricing information and hours below).

Discounted Flower Show Tickets

TIP: The One Day and Family Independence Passes offer convenient and economical travel on all SEPTA trains, trolleys and buses.

Discounted tickets will be sold at all major Transit Sales Offices and Regional Rail Ticket Offices.

Fare Options

Independence Pass

The Independence Pass is ideal for individuals or families looking for the independence of convenient, economical travel on SEPTA services (pass valid for 10 trips). Occasional riders, visitors and families can travel on SEPTA to restaurants, shopping, casinos, sporting events and other attractions in the Greater Philadelphia region. All rides on an Independence Passes must be taken on one day.

SEPTA Key

The SEPTA Key Fare Program is a convenient new way to pay to ride on SEPTA. The Key Card is a contactless chip card that can be loaded and reloaded without having to get a new Card. Additional fare information, including Sales Locations, can be found in the Fares section.

What Fare Validation Means

  • All fares are paid at the turnstiles/ADA gates
    • Only prepaid fares (Key Cards, Passes, Quick Trips & Tickets) accepted - no cash

    • Customers without a fare must go to a Station Fare Kiosk to purchase a Regional Rail Quick Trip or go to the Station Sale Office to purchase a Ticket

What Fare Inspection Means

  • All fares are inspected at the turnstiles/ADA gates - Conductors on the train will collect/punch tickets and inspect passes
    • Only prepaid fares (Key Cards, Regional Rail Quick Trips, Paper Passes, Tickets, Round Trip Cash Fare receipt) accepted - no cash

    • Customers without a fare have the option to buy a Quick Trip from the Fare Kiosk or a paper ticket from the Sales Office

All Other Times

  • All fares paid on board the train
    • Customers can purchase from the Conductor or present their prepaid fare on board the train

Regional Rail Fare Options

  • SEPTA Key Card with a Weekly/Monthly TrailPass or Independence Pass - tap at the turnstile
    • TransPasses only accepted on Weekends when they have ANYWHERE privileges

  • SEPTA Key Quick Trip - valid for return travel from a Center City Station. Price based on zone of home station. Quick Trips can be purchased in advanced but they are only good for travel on the day noted on the front. Fare Kiosks accept cash, debit/credit cards

  • Senior Fares
    • SEPTA Key Senior Card - tap at the turnstile
      • Seniors traveling to/from a Regional Rail Station in Pennsylvania now TRAVEL FREE AT ALL TIMES

    • Current Driver's License (with a magnetic stripe on the back that can be swiped at the turnstile)

    • Seniors traveling to/from NJ or State of Delaware stations pay 50% of the weekday fare with a valid ID - ticket must be purchased at the Sales Office

  • Riders With Disabilities
    • SEPTA Key Reduced Fare Card

    • Reduced Fare customer pays 50% of the weekday fare with a SEPTA Key Reduced Fare Card - ticket must be purchased at the Sales Office

  • Legacy SEPTA Passes - swipe at the turnstile

  • SEPTA Paper Ticket - discounted price tickets can be purchased in advance at a SEPTA Ticket Office - present to Key Ambassador at fareline

  • Round Trip Cash Fare Receipt - present to Key Ambassador fareline

Outlying Station Ticket Offices now sell Key Cards ($4.95) and can load Passes including the One Day Independence Pass along with selling paper tickets. Quick Trips are not available for sale at outlying stations.

Quiet Ride Program

Due to increased Regional Rail ridership during the Flower Show, the Quiet Ride Program will be temporarily suspended as crews will be focused on safety, fare collection, and announcements. SEPTA will also add capacity to select trains to accommodate additional customers.

Senior Citizens

eniors ages 65 and over from Pennsylvania can ride free on any SEPTA mode, including Regional Rail when traveling to and from any Pennsylvania SEPTA Regional Rail station. Seniors must have a SEPTA Senior Key Card (tapped at turnstiles) or valid Pennsylvania driver's license/non-drive ID card (swiped at turnstiles). Paper Pennsylvania Senior Citizen Transit ID Cards and Medicare Cards are no longer accepted. Seniors from New Jersey and Delaware can ride SEPTA Regional Rail for half-fare if they have a SEPTA Senior Key Card. Regular fares apply for seniors without a Senior Key Card.
