Effective Sunday, January 24; Wilmington/Newark Line Extended
January 20, 2021
SEPTA is advising customers that some changes are being made to select Regional Rail schedules starting next week. These updates will impact the Chestnut Hill East, Fox Chase, Lansdale/Doylestown, Manayunk/Norristown, Trenton, and Wilmington/Newark Lines.
New timetables will go into effect on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Below are some highlights of the upcoming service adjustments:
The Manayunk/Norristown Line and Chestnut Hill East Line schedules also give SEPTA the ability to deploy additional resources to maintain and reconstruct the railroad right-of-way.
The Chestnut Hill West Line and Cynwyd Line will remain suspended, while all other Regional Rail schedules will remain in effect.
As of January 24, 2021, SEPTA will be operating 463 weekday trains and 218 weekend trains, which is approximately 57% of pre-pandemic Regional Rail service levels. Ridership on Regional Rail is approximately 15% of pre-pandemic levels. Additional Regional Rail service changes are planned for March 2021.
Customers are encouraged to check the schedules for their commutes at https://www.septa.org/media/rail-preview.html, or look for the schedule change alert on the official SEPTA app.
In addition to the schedule information posted online, SEPTA will continue to share real-time service updates on Twitter @SEPTA.
